POSSIBLE SCALES OF HYDROLOGICAL CHANGES IN THE VOLGA BASIN UNDER ANTHROPOGENIC CLIMATE WARMING

A. G. Georgeadi and I. P. Milyukova

The paper presents the assessments of potential variations a spring flood and annual river runoff and in the annual distribution of river runoff in the Volga basin (down to Volgograd) under a doubling of atmospheric CO2. The results of experiments performed with the global climatic model of the Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory (GFDL), Princeton University. USA were used as the scenario of climate change. The hydrological variations have been determined with the original model of monthly water balance.
