Data on the dynamics of the emission of greenhouse gases (CO2, CH4, N2O, as well as HFC, PFC, and SF6) from main pollution sources in Russia for 1990—1999 are presented for the first time. Also considered is the information about the CO2 sink in Russian forests. A considerable reduction of greenhouse gas emissions compared with the year 1990 (36% for CO2) is the main characteristic of their dynamics. The reduction in the CO2 emissions in Russia resulted in the slowing of the rate of growth of the global CO2 concentration in 1991—1998 by 0.34 ppm.
