DISCUSSION OF REVISED ESTIMATES OF NORTHERN HEMISPHERE TEMPERATURE ANOMALIES IN THE 1400—1980 PERIOD

A. I. Nakhutin

The discussion about temperature anomalies in the 15th—20th centuries is outlined briefly. The results and arguments of McIntyre and McKitrick are presented. By their estimates, positive temperature anomalies in the 15th century were higher than the anomalies observed in the 20th century; these results contradict the publications of Mann et al. Mann's reply is outlined in brief, and the criticism of his results by another group of researches is given.
