Analytic Formula of the Sediment Discharge. The Method of Computation

Derived is an analytical formula of sediment discharge based on the balance of forces of the river flow. The formula is represented by two major groups of forces, gravity and resistance. The dependences on the size category of the bottom soil are obtained for the parameters of the formula (the adhesive force of soil shear and coefficient of internal friction). Computations for the rivers of different characteristics demonstrated good results. Provided are the recommendations for computing the sediment discharge using the formula for the explored and unexplored rivers.
