RESULTS OF FIELD EXPERIMENTS TO ESTIMATE THE INFLUENCE OF CORONA DISCHARGE ON FOG DENSITY

Changes in the fog characteristics under action of the corona discharge are discussed. Experimental data obtained during field experiments are presented. The fog characteristics are analyzed in comparison with its characteristics of development under natural conditions, on the basis of 4-year observational data. It is shown that the influence of corona discharge on the fog characteristics is so significant that it can be recommended for practical operation to improve weather conditions in fog.
