The first results are presented on research into the impact of gravity force inhomogeneity on atmospheric characteristics that are obtained from numerical experiments with the atmospheric general circulation model (GCM) of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center. The problem is formulated to take into account gravity force field inhomogeneity (GFFI) in different systems of coordinates. The GFFI is presented in the form convenient to take into account hydrodynamics in the equations. Numerical experiments are described and two-year calculation results are analyzed. Localization of model precipitation in the experiment, with regard for GFFI, is shown to approach reference data.
