Results are presented from experimental operations for artificial dissipation of supercooled fogs at the airport of Almaty (Kazakhstan) in winter 2002 —2003, using a liquefied nitrogen technology developed at the Central Aerological Observatory (CAO). Technical equipment of the airport is briefly described with facilities for fog dispersal and control of the results. Two variants of the nitrogen generator arrangement under different weather conditions are presented as developed using a three-dimensional nonstationary numerical model. Results of numerical and field experiments on cold fog dispersal at the airport of Almaty are discussed.
