Linear and short-term nonlinear trends of albedo and radiation balance (RB) components are analyzed based on data from 27 actinometric stations in Russia. The approximation method based on the algorithm of inverse distances is used to describe short-term variations in time series of radiation balance components and albedo. Analysis of linear trends made it possible to determine long-term tendencies of changes in climatic series of RB components: positive albedo trend in summer months and negative trend in winter months; negative trend of radiation balance in summer and positive trend in winter; and positive trend of total and reflected radiation at continental stations remote from the oceans in summer months and negative trend in winter months. Short-term fluctuations in series of RB components, as well as meteorological variables (air temperature, atmo¬spheric pressure anomalies, precipitation) are indicative of a relation between atmospheric factors and changes in radiation balance components.
