INTERCOMPARISON OF INTRASEASONAL OSCILLATIONS (30—50 DAYS) OF METEOROLOGICAL PARAMETERS WITH OSCILLATIONS IN OTHER RANGES AND THEIR INTERACTION

V. N. Ivanov and A. V. Khokhlova

Statistical characteristics of meteorological parameters in different ranges are studied using long-term aerological and meteorological observational data. From 10 to 30% of the total variance is within the intraseasonal range (20—100 days). The effect of intraseasonal oscillations (ISO) with periods of 30—50 days on the high-frequency spectrum is studied. The intraseasonal oscillations modulate the intensity of synoptic oscillations, and a constant phase shift is observed between them during certain time intervals of up to several months. The regularities obtained suggest that the ISO intensity and phase can in certain conditions be an additional factor influencing the evolution of synoptic formations.
