ENERGY OF THE BLACK SEA CLIMATIC CIRCULATION. PART I: DISCRETE EQUATIONS OF THE RATE OF CHANGE OF KINETIC AND POTENTIAL ENERGY

S. G. Demyshev

The derivation of finite-difference equations of the kinetic and potential energy budget, taking into account a linearized kinematic condition and temperature and salinity assimilation, is presented. It is shown that time approximation and vertical discretization lead to some features in these equations. A finite-difference analog of total energy is proposed. Analysis of the integral energy of climatic circulation is carried out.
