CURRENT CLIMATE CHANGES IN THE NORTHERN HEMISPHERE HIGH LATITUDES

O. A. Anisimov, M. A. Belolutskaya, and V. A. Lobanov

The 20th-century air temperature changes averaged over the 30-degree latitudinal zones and individual regions are calculated. Correlation between the current climate warming and some natural processes in the high latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere is analyzed. In addition to measurements at the network of meteorological stations, a complex of natural indicators is generalized and its causality by the current climate change is established. Based on the totality of measurements and indirect natural indicators, a conclusion is made about rapid changes in the climate system over the last two decades, the changes being beyond natural variability.
