MODERN CHANGES IN AIR TEMPERATURE ON THE EUROPEAN TERRITORY

V. A. Lobanov and O. A. Anisimov

A method of identification of uniform climatic regions is considered. The method is based on similarity of parameters of the function describing intra-annual and long-term variations of air temperature at each observational point. This method is used for climatic zoning of the European territory. In this method, series of mean monthly air temperatures for a hundred-year period are used, on the basis of which the mean annual air temperature and seasonal function parameters are calculated. For each characteristic, several uniform regions with similar climatic tendencies are identified. The results are compared with twentieth-century climate monitoring data obtained by space-time averaging.
