AEROSOL TURBIDITY OF THE ATMOSPHERE IN MOSCOW AT THE END OF THE 20TH CENTURY

E. V. Gorbarenko

Main factors that determine the τa, λ0 variability are estimated based on the analysis of data of continuous observations (since 1955) of aerosol turbidity of the atmosphere over Moscow. Particular attention is given to data for the recent decade of the 20th century. It is noted that aerosol turbidity of the atmosphere over Moscow substantially diminished at the end of the 20th century due to the absence of significant volcanic eruptions at that period and reduced anthropogenic emissions attributable to the lowered industrial activity in Moscow.
