FEATURES OF EXTREME SNOW ACCUMULATION IN MOUNTAINS AND FOOTHILLS (THE GREATER CAUCASUS AS AN EXAMPLE)

The features of snow storage variability for the Greater Caucasus and foothills (Ciscaucasia) are studied. The combinations of snow storage extreme values in mountains and foothills are calculated. The importance of these combinations for the local water balance is estimated.
