CYCLONIC PRECIPITATION AND THE OB AND YENISEI RIVER RUNOFF IN DRY AND WET YEARS
V. I. Babkin and A. N. Postnikov
Precipitation in the Ob and Yenisei river basins is identified according to cyclogenesis zones. It is shown that the Ob River runoff is formed mainly by precipitation from cyclones originated in the West Siberian and European zones (by 69 and 81% in dry and wet years, respectively).Variations in the Ob River runoff are by 84% controlled by precipitation from cyclones originated in the Ob basin and variations in the Yenisei River runoff by precipitation (74%) from cyclones of the West Siberian and Southern cyclogenesis zones.
