The paper describes an experiment carried out in Obninsk in July–August 1999. Boundary-layer temperature profiles obtained by a contact method were compared with MTP-5 temperature profiler data. A standard deviation was 0.6–0.65K. Similar comparisons were performed earlier only beyond Russia. A comparison of structural temperature inhomogeneities measured with sensors placed on a tall meteorological mast and with a microwave radiometer (60 GHz) allowed us to estimate an extent of agreement between local and integral estimates of the scales and energy of coherent structures.
