STATISTICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF PLANETARY AIR-DENSITY DISTRIBUTION

Some statistical characteristics of air density distribution over the globe are presented. It is shown how the density of distribution of a number of particles could be related to the conservation laws in a probabilistic form. Precise characteristics of the amplitude of annual variation and zonal, vertical, and meridional distributions of air density were determined. The method makes it possible to describe the main statistical characteristics of the Earth's climate with a relatively small number of coefficients and in terms of these characteristics to compare different climatic archives, various theoretical climate models, and the deviation of the results obtained with these characteristics from observation data.
