A CHOICE OF NECESSARY DURATION OF OBSERVATION PERIOD OF RIVER ICE REGIME

V. G. Kalinin and N. A. Trofimov

A methodology is proposed for determination of a minimal representative period of observations at hydrometeorological stations necessary for studying the regularities of ice phenomena on the rivers of the Kama basin. By the example of hydrometric stations with long-term observation series through their decomposition into time intervals and the analysis of deviations obtained from climatic values it is shown that a 40-year observation period can be taken as such a period.
