Results of studies of the intrusive bottom current in the Mozhaisk Reservoir are presented. The evolution of this current is shown in its core and in the rear frontal zone. The propagation of the current is accompanied by a motion on the slope of a cold bottom lens, the rise of suspended matter from deep layers to the surface, and suspension transport along the bottom. The measured distributions of the density current velocities with depth and time agree with theoretical results obtained from the proposed mathematical model.
