A possible application of output data of operative forecasting models to predict hail-hazard situations over the Northern Caucasus is discussed. Discriminant analysis is used to estimate the informativity of different predictors calculated in large-scale models for predicting hail-hazard situations. Results are presented of automated calculation of thermodynamic and synoptic criteria of hail-hazard situation when formulating the alternative forecast, and an example of charting is demonstrated.
