INFLUENCE OF DYNAMIC AND THERMAL FACTORS ON SEASONAL VARIABILITY OF THE MEAN SEA ICE THICKNESS IN THE ARCTIC BASIN

The influence of ice drift velocity divergence, ice advection, and melting and freezing processes on the mean ice thickness change in the Arctic Basin is studied. Regions are identified where the mean ice thickness in the cold season diminishes compared to the warm season.
