in Bashkortostan on June 1, 2007 and August 29, 2014
T. G. Dmitrieva and B. E. Peskov
Synoptic conditions of severe squalls and two tornados in the north of Bashkortostan on June 1, 2007 and August 29, 2014 are analyzed using radar and satellite data and the forecasts of mesoscale models. The effects of geographic environment and mesoscale features are considered whose consideration enables predicting severe convective events with the lead time of 1–6 hours with the error of about 20 km.
